Beartown Design Studio is the

creative work of Jen Iskow, based out of central West Virginia. After studying Fashion Design at West Virginia University, she went on to create sustainable and upcycled clothing out of a home studio in Pocahontas County, West Virginia.. just a few miles away from Beartown State Park, known for its lush forest and moss-covered rock formations.

Around 2014, Jen moved to Elkins, West Virginia and took on the role of Marketing Assistant at the Augusta Heritage Center. From there she learned the ins-and-outs of graphic design for print and promotional materials, web design, and much more.

Jen has worked for many regional musicians, artists, non-profit organizations, and businesses and is committed to living and working in Appalachia, advocating for community-based art, and inspiring others to follow their passions in the place they love, even if it is unconventional. When not drawing, printing, and designing, she works as a Regional Chapter Coordinator with Generation West Virginia and as the Tourism Outreach Coordinator for Appalachian Forest Heritage Area. She's also a proud dog mom to a fluffy boy named Marcel.
